Headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, Husky Energy Inc. is one of Canada's largest energy companies. With a partnership that began in 2003, Husky Energy has become an integral part of the Calgary Zoo’s Endangered Species Reintroduction Research program. As a result of Husky’s continued support, the Centre for Conservation Research has been able to take significant strides towards understanding the ecology of reintroduced species that are endangered or at risk.

Canadian Wildlife Federation

The Canadian Wildlife Federation (CWF) is dedicated to ensuring an appreciation of our natural world and a lasting legacy of healthy wildlife and habitat. The CWF has partnered with the Centre for Conservation Research on Northern Leopard Frog, Black-tailed Prairie Dog, and Black-footed Ferret research. CWF has also lent its support to the Conservation Research Fellowship program. Through their sponsorship, CWF is helping researchers gain valuable knowledge of unique prairie species, and fostering a new generation of conservation biologists.

Alberta Lottery Fund

The Community Initiative Program (CIP) provides funds from the Alberta Lottery Fund to enhance and enrich project-based community initiatives through-out Alberta. The CIP has partnered with the Centre for Conservation Research to develop a multi-faceted community outreach strategy aimed at educating Albertans about the environment, species extinction, and  important conservation issues. CIP’s support has also provided funding for the Conservation Research Fellowship program. Through their financial aid, the Alberta Lottery Fund is helping the Centre for Conservation Research “sow the seeds of conservation” in local communities.
