New Fossils, New Ideas
Our Changing Views of Dinosaurs and How They Lived over the past 30 years there have been great changes in our ideas about dinosaurs and their ways of life. The dinosaur fossil record is much more than just skeletons – we have trackways, skin impressions, nests with eggs and brooding adults, fossil feathers on dinosaurs and much more. Donald P. Henderson, curator of dinosaurs at the Royal Tyrrell Museum, will take you on a tour through these new fossils and ideas.

Ancient Treasure Chests
The Fantastic Dinosaur Bonebeds of Mongolia, China and Alberta Dinosaur bonebeds are scientific treasures and offer a glimpse of dinosaur events and behaviours. David A. Eberth, senior research scientist at the Royal Tyrell Museum, shares why the “death pits” of northwest China are so bizarre, why the bonebeds in Mongolia are so fantastic as well as his recent work on an interesting bonebed that includes preserved tracks, trackways and trapped dinosaurs.

How Did Meat-Eating Dinosaurs Capture Their Prey? Theropods, or meateating dinosaurs, are often portrayed as cunning and vicious predators that ambushed and attacked their prey with slashing bites. But did all theropods hunt like this or did they exhibit a greater diversity of strategies? Join Dr. François Therrien from the Royal Tyrrell Museum for a look at recent discoveries about theropod feeding strategies. There’s a lot more to theropods than sharp teeth and claws.
