Concession and Food Cart operators

Full time or part time: Part-time and full time
Reports to: Manager, Concessions
Hours or days of work: varied (4-7 hours daily)

JOB SUMMARY:

Operate the various food concessions and food carts at the Zoo.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Open the concession/food cart for the day
• Prepare food
• Serve customers
• Handle the cash
• Close up at the end of the day

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Responsible for obtaining the cash bag prior to starting and counting and remitting cash bag at end of shift
• Responsible for balancing one's cash

SUPERVISION PROVIDED AND RECEIVED:

• Reports to the Manager and/or Supervisor of Concessions

ACADEMIC/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school, college or university students

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Must be responsible and reliable Must have great customer service skills
• Must be able to work unsupervised Must follow health & safety guidelines
• Must be willing to work outdoors
